My son transferred an FS 2002 aircraft (Blackburn Beverley) into my FS2004 by dragging the aircraft from the FS 2000 aircraft folder to the same in 2004. It did not work properly so deleted it completely. However 2004 had problems with it so I removed FS2002 and FS2004 using Add/remove. I then deleted all files relating to this aircraft everywhere on the computer using the SEARCH command and re-installed FS2004. I have done this 3 times now but always the message comes up just before it starts to function " Aircraft Inialization failure Blackburn Beverley C Mk 1" It gives me a "CLOSE" buton to click which closes down FS 2004 completely. How do I find this rogue file or do something to remove the restriction?

Cause is failure to delete Flight Simulator Files under My Documents which is where the saved flights are stored and where details of the last flight are stored.

If you got any addon aircraft such as downloaded aircraft in ur fs 2004 folder, then uninstalling the program wont make the aircraft go away. make sure u delete all the msfs 2004 folders!

If that doesnt help

Run ur computer in a clean boot

Start -> Run -> msconfig -> Selective Startup -> Uncheck Everything Except For System.Ini Files -> Click on Services Tab -> Click On Hide All Microsoft Services -> Click On Ok -> It Will Restart Automatically -> After logging on after ur restart u get a message -> Click Cancle And Start Installing Your MSFS 2004.

Try Running it under the clean boot. If it works fine restore ur clean boot by going into msconfig and click on <Normal Startup>

Cheers!
