Add-ons and frame rates Not logged in -   Reply

Can anyone tell me from experience what happens to the frame rates after
installation of either FSGlobal2008 from Flight1 or World landscapes from
Abacus?

Would I be right in assuming that higher density = lower frame rates?

If the scenery is more accurate will it cause the standard FSX airfields to
appear above or below ground level or in fact other items of scenery?

There is a huge differance in price (Norway) between the two yet they seem
to offer the same product. Any comments from "those who know?"

Many thanks

Well, i have FSGlobal 2008, i can tell you that there is a slight difference
in the FPS, but very small, and the improvement over the default is huge.
My PC is an AMD Athlon XP 3200+, 2gb ram DDR 400, BFG GeForce 7600GSOC with
512Mb of DDR2 ram and i am using FSX Deluxe in spanish with SP1.

Sorry, forgot to put this in the previous answer Tongue .
Some airfiles will be on a "mesa", but very very few because FSG has an
utility to "smooth" that effect on most of the world airports and a few
àtches for the most noticeable ones; but still, some others will be inside a
"trench", again, only a handful and not very popular ones (i have not find
any in the whole america, and only one in the marianas).
