Hey there! Okay, I coming out of my bordeom with Tower. :) Anyway, making airports is easy but, time consuming. All you need is wordpad, notepad, etc. All files are simple text. Each airport is just a graph of points and lines. I'll have to get back into things a bit before I can recall what each one is in the files but, all you really do is graph out the airport on graph paper; then plot all the intersections and finally, connect all the points. It's basically to the effect of: P1 = 10,24 P2 = 37,47 L1 = P1,P2 Something like that, where P are the points and L is a line between the points. The problem is with airports not aligned in a simple east-west or north-south configuration. When I made KPHX, I did it because it would be easy to line everything up - everything is horizontal and vertical, with no fudging for diagnonals. Anyway, what would be great is an afacd style of editor - where you enter the points on a board and then connect them using the mouse. Then, the program converst them to text entries. Maybe I'll look into that. I'll need to dig through my files first to see how big to make the work space. After drawing the airport and getting all the points in place, you need to put in parking spaces and aligning the pushback to turn right left or straight for each one. Also, you want to enter in the approach and departure fixes so that aircraft are properly aligned coming in. I did have some difficulty with the audio files; specifically for runway numbers and of course, for additional airlines. You can even add aircraft as each one is simply a graphic made up of points that make an outline. Anyway, I'll put something together for you. I believe Trutta did a good outline of what everything means in the files - just don't recall where that file is. :P http://www.fscommercialpilot.com
