All of this is new behavior. FSX is using about 1.2 GB > of memory when I get the Windows out of memory dialog, and I have 4 GB > installed on Windows XP 32 bit. Initially I only had 2GB ram but I added another 2GB but the problems persisted. I've made a few tweaks and have successfully made a couple of 2-hour flights in different locations as well as some short test hops in the NYC area, where I was getting the spikes on the runway at KLGA. I wish I could determine exactly what I tweaked but I've not had a problem for a couple of days now. I'm running a Q6600 at 3.1GHZ with a eVGA 8800GTS 640MB video card, overclocked 32%. WinXP Pro and FSX-Accell\SP2. I may have moved a couple of sliders a notch to the left as I had most of them maxed out or close to it. OK....just looked....I moved the "Mesh resolution" to 2M and the "Texture resolution" to 30 CM. These were maxed before. I have "water effects" at Low 2.x, "level of detail radius" large, "Mesh complexity" at 87, "Scenery complexity" Extremely dense, "Autogen density" Very dense and "Special effects detail" High. Paul
