After a complete install of FS2002, and the attempt to start it, I get the
message that 'Fs2002 will not run unless the DirectX-8 has been installed'.
When I un-install and another complete install (including DirectX8) I get
the same result; three times. The Diagnostic tool with DirectX tells me
that everything is fine. What is the problem? No prizes for this one. Martin

Hello Richard: DXDiag tells me I have DirectX8.0(4.08.00.0400). It works
well for my FS98. martin

Hello Randy: I tried it your way, and with the same result. As if FS2002
cannot find DirectX, even though it is staring it in the face. FS98 is
using it! Martin
