FSX Load Flight Not logged in -   Reply

When I try to load a flight in "My Saved Flights", they are not in
alphabetical order but all mixed up. It seems to put the most recently used
flights at the top of the list. How do I get my flights listed in
alphabetical order? (FSX Deluxe SP2") Thank you...

Either go to the saved flights folder "my documents\flight simulator x
files" and click on the "name" bar or click on the "title" bar in your list
in FSX.

I tried both of these but no joy. I also ran a program called "Folder Sort"
on the flights folder but it made no diference. Thanks for trying anyway...

You might check permissions on the folder. If in vista run folder sort as
administrator. It's a function of your OS not FSX so something is set to
prevent it.

I'm running XP Pro SP2, no permissions are set on the folder, what else could
it be?
Thanks Vic...

OK - can you sort ANY folder by clicking on the title bar? If yes then look
very closely at the folder and the drive properties and compare them to the
FSX folder. Maybe what's digfferent will be apparent.

Vic, I think the Op is complaining about the saved flights panel INSIDE
the FSX game. I have never found a way to alphabetize them. I always
get them in last played order. It doesn't appear to be related to how
the saved flights folder in My Documents is sorted.

Re: FSX Load Flight [In reply to "Vic Baron"] Not logged in -   Reply

All folders sort OK if I click on name, type, size etc., including the
flights folder (D:\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files), but when I start
FSX, they remain unsorted. Weird... The only category in FSX which is sorted
is Tutorial, which I have yet to use. The rest seem to order the flights in
the order in which they were last used, and there seems to be no way to
re-order them by name. I have 1512 flights in my folder, so you can see that
this situation is inconvenient to say the least when searching for a
particular flight. Thanks once more VB

That is what I meant Grand_Poobah, sorry for any confusion. I never had this
problem with any previous version of FS, there must be a way of doing it.
