FSX Re-Install Problem - What Are The Correct Security Settings

Hi, To cut a long story short (see BTW below) I had to completely remove and re-install FSX & Acceleration last week. Only problem was that I think that the "completely remove" bit didn't work completely and I'm left with a few annoying issues. I've managed to fix most of them, but I'm left with one problem, I need to set "Run As Administrator" in the shortcut to run FSX, or else it complains about being unable to update the Scenery Indices etc. and shuts down. Could someone please right-click on the FSX executable file, select Properties, move to the Security Tab and tell me what you see for each of the entries there. I want to compare the settings of a healthy system with my own. On my system, I see 4 entries: Authenticated Users - Modify, Read & Execute, Read & Write SYSTEM - Full Control, Modify, Read & Execute, Read & Write Administrators - Modify, Read & Execute, Read & Write Users - Read & Execute, Read Under the Advanced Tab on that page, the Owner was shown as "SYSTEM". I just tried changing it to my log-in account (thinking it was trying to write the indices there, but it made no difference. Any other hints of tips about how to resolve this would be appreciated. (I'm running Vista 32, with UAC on). BTW - The incident was caused when I lost all connectivity to the Internet after I'd installed Acceleration to my FSX folder on D: drive (the latest Norton IS2007 Auto update did something that prevent my computer talking to my ADSL router). I was forced to recover a Acronis Image of my C: drive, which was based on the SP1 version of FSX so I ended up with a pre-Acceleration C: Drive and a post -Acceleration D: drive which didn't get on well together. I tried removing FSX to do a clean install, but I'm pretty sure that it didn't work properly - FSX never disappeared from the "Remove Programs" applet in Control Pane despite several attempts, and on re-install I was never asked to enter the FSX product key - so despite my best efforts at removing it there must be several remaining links left in the Registry, or in hidden files on the system PS - A possible solution would be remove it again, and totally purge the system of any references to FSX if anyone can advise me how to do that please. PPS - I've totally purged my system of Norton IS2007, so at least won't have that problem again. Bob,
