I noticed a big improvement when I got nVidia's newest driver for Vista 64. It jerks with sliders all the way, but works fine when I back it off slightly unless the scene is rally complicated--much better than my older FS on older hardware. However, I still have an FSX problem when using a second monitor; when I reset something that takes the flight scene away, like a new aircraft or airport, after it reloads the flight scene "flashes"--goes from OK to blank to all white and back for about a second each. The "fix" is to Alt-Enter twice; this goes to a window, then back to a fullscreen. With a single monitor this doesn't happen. Nobody has ever even suggested a fix. I'm at the latest video driver, BIOS, running Vista Ultimate 64, 8800 GTS 320 MB. No other program flashes like this, which may suggest a DirectX problem.
