FSX problem (Sound?)

I have been reunning FSX + SP1 for a few months now, very steadily. I
haven't used it for about a week or ten days, and when I started it up
tonight, it locked up about 3 or 4 minutes into the flight. I haven't
changed anything in my system, but I did notice that when it locked up,
there was a "blip2 or crackle from one of the speakers. This may of course
be unrelated. By the way, I have FS9 installed and this is unaffected.
Any ideas?
