FS 2002 and Sidewinder Precision Pro Not logged in -   Reply 
I have just installed FS2002 and have a S'winder Precision Pro (USB
version). I'm using Win XP Home SP2 and read I need the sidewinder Game
Controller S'ware V 3.0.

Any ideas where I can find it. Cannot discover on MS Downloads.

Need to set up my Sidewinder Joystick, please.

I am not sure, however, that this or any other version works in XP. The OS
has rudimentary support built-in. If you plug it in, you should have a
'Gaming Software' applet inside Control Panel. If it doesn't appear, you
press the 'Add' button.

That software is not compatible with XP anyway so you are stuck with what
XP provides and that's it. People do use v4.0 of the software on XP but
that is not for the joystick you have. You can program the stick and
change sensitivity and deadzone in FS2002 anyway so don't see why you even
need it.

I am using XP pro and cannot get sidewinder precision pro instalation CD to
install--it says Sidewinder Game Device Software 3.x installs drivers that
are incompatible with this version of Windows --then---something about
available space ?? it worked OK with windows 98 what can the problem be ??
