Has anyone purchased and downloaded the New Acceleration package? Has it
given you any problems to this point, and what are your negative feedbacks. I
was thinking about purchasing it this weekend.

Sorry this isn't a new post, but I can't figure out how to make a new post
using MS' web site. ugh.

Picked up FSX Acceleration. I had previously experienced a problem with
having dual monitors set to different resolutions for which I downloaded a
hotfix that worked fine.

Now, no matter what graphic device I choose in the settings page, FSX
appears on my second (non-primary) monitor. I have to go into my NVIDIA
control panel and configure it to just use one monitor to get it to work.

I then went to MS' web site to send support an email about it, put in my
product ID, and was told that this product ID was for "Zoo Tycon 2" and not
FSX: Acceleration! What nonsense! I don't have Zoo Tycon 2 and I'm staring
right at the product key in the 'about flight simulator' page.

When I go through the trouble to redo my monitors, it works great. But big
pain in the arse on the support side.

I like it - new a/c are quite good and the new missions are fun and
challenging. Has made an improvement in my DX9/XP flights but just so-so in
DX10/Vista

Then why dont you use the newsgroups? Its quicker to post, easy to use, you
dont find your posts disappearing and you get to read any replies.

You are the second person I've seen post about problems with dual monitors,
only the other person had a problem because his were both at the same
resolution.

I run a 22" at 1650x1080 as primary and a 19" at 1280 x 1024 and haven't had
a problem under XP or Vista. Did you set them up individually using NVidia
NView?
