Is there a program, hopefully free, that allows a person to edit the ILS
transmitter location at airports in FS9? It seems I saw something on that
in the past, but was unable to come up with anything on my Google search.

The ILS transmitter for NAS Pensacola's runway 7 right is a bit off to the
left and if I allow the autopilot approach to bring me in to the airport I
land on the grass between runway 7 left and runway 7 right.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry, ILS INPA is intended for KNPA runway 7L NOT runway 7R. In aerial
photos the localizer array is clearly visible at the ENE end of runway
7L. Look for a row of red-orange antennas in maps.live.com or the
simulator (localizers are represented visually in the simulator) a few
hundred feet off the end of the runway.

Sometimes the localizer doesn't align perfectly with the runway
centerline in real life either. In those occasions a pilot has to make a
few degrees turn or a small zig-zag just before touchdown. The diagram
for KNPA shows the magnetic heading for runway 7L to be 69.5°. The
simulator lists the localizer heading to be 68°.

AFCAD2 freeware at www.avsim.com file library will allow adjustments to all
navaids etc.

Bill,

Thanks for the tip. I couldn't find the program at AVSIM but was able to
locate AFCAD 2.21 for FS2004 at SimVation:

http://www.simviation.com/fs2004utilities1.htm

It took a little "practice and patience", but I was able to get the ILS
transmitter moved to the correct runway -- RWAY 7L instead of RWAY 7R as I
typed in my original question. I has 7R on my brain as my wife and I
attended last Friday's Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show at NAS Pensacola and
the performing aircraft used 7R as it was the closest to the spectators.

I have several screen shots of my final ILS approach to RWY 7L I tried to
attach,
but they made this message to large and it wouldn't post. Frown

Thanks again for the help. AFCAD looks as if it can be a great aid for
FS2004.

James

P.S. to RobertVA. I finally had to set the ILS transmitter to 68.3 degrees
to achieve the near centerline landing shown in the screen shots. Thanks to
you, also, for you input.

Scott,

Thanks for the FAA database info on NAS Pensacola (KNPA) -- everything you
want to know about the airfield it appears.

Did you get the info from an internet web site? If so, can you share it
with us?

Thanks again.
