All,

Michael (Mikal) will be posting an update TONIGHT about MAI Tower. Also, some new screenshots will be uploaded. We have a -3 hour time difference with him, but hopefully we'll have everything updated today.

Next steps:
Michael will send the binaries for packaging once the contract is signed. MAI Tower IS COMPLETED. Basic QA of the install program pending.

Hello ATC Buffs,

I am very sorry, I have not be able to reach all of you, But I was attending a family emergency. Don't worry
MAI-Tower is completed, Documentation is the last process, and some legal paperwork. This should not take too long. I would love to give you all a date but from what it looks you will hold me to the very last second...LOL. Anyways I can promise you it will be very soon...

Once again i apologize. I have posted several differnt screen shots to give you different looks at different times.

I thank you in advance for your patience.

Good Day

Mikal

Hey, just wondering when MAI-Tower is going to be out. Read that everything is finished and that the stuff was ready to be bundled and all. Mikal said it shouldn't be too long from that post, so what is 'not too long?' Can Mikal or the other main guy give us some info back? Not hearing much from you guys as of late.

Michael (Mikal) is currently reviewing a draft (contract) we need both parties to agree on all terms before he can send over the binaries for packing. I will be creating an installer an doing final QA on the finished product.

It will be available via our Online store and payments can be made VISA,MC,Amex or Paypal

I'm very sorry for the lack of info, but there's nothing new other than everything is ready. Unfortunately administrative and legal tasks are necessary.

hey jestuv, thanks for the update. It's good to know you two are keeping track of posts and are caring about our issues. I understand how that legal stuff goes...it's a pain. I have no excuse for the bad temper except im so excited about this product. I've been following ever since MAI-Tower was announced, and since im a tower controller in real life, this is def. something im interested in. Thanks again for the feedback, and hopefully you can keep us posted day - by - day as we get closer to release date. By the way........could you let us know what the preorder is up to.(i.e. how many people are ready to buy). I'm sure it's quite a few, but w/o a doubt, add me to the list, ill be your first paying customer if i can! Thanks so much Mikal and jestuv

Well... I don't really think it's a good idea to discuss the contract here.

As for when? guys.. is up to Michael (Mikal) to decide. I don't know if it was a good idea to give you EXACT details as to where we are in terms of our own internal negotiations.

The only thing I can tell you is that final QA, packaing and store setup will take aproximately one week, and for me to start that process I need michael to send the binaries. He will not send ANYTHING unless he agrees 100% to the terms in the contract.

I will try to convince Michael to pick up ONE guy from the the ones posting in the forum to participate in the QA for the finished product. The one selected will have the software one week before it's official released date. This, of course is pending Michael approval.

The only thing I ask from all of you is a bit of patience. I'm available to answer all the questions you may have regarding distribution. But specific MAI Tower questions should be directed to Michael (Mikal)

Jestuv, what/how is he able to decide who will get that software? Is it totally random? I mean how can you tell if the person chosen knows the difference between a simple approach or departure? I'm sure all of us know a good deal, but just wondering what a pick of that nature would include. Thanks!! All in all though, that's a great way to get people perked up about the product knowing someone has the finished game and the official release is close!

I guess that Michael can come up with some interesting ideas/questions as to how to best determine who will be a good candidate. I know NOTHING about MAI Tower or ATC controllers. I just know how to comunicate with them.

Yeah, I do agree that some form of online questionaire/mini-test on some ATC concepts or communications would be best judgement, especially giving out a product to someone who will be the sole person in charge of Q n A's for the entire pre-release game.

Mikal, good to see you back finally. Hopefully you read the threads that I did w/ jestuv about the way the Q & A person will be chosen. What is your method for selecting the lucky person to get the 1st copy? Please reply and let us know. Thanks.

Mikal,

Could you give us an update on what you have accomplished in the last 1/2 week? Could you also give us a release parameter? I'm assuming it's gotta be ready for release w/in the next couple weeks. Could you also get back with us about my previous post about selecting a Q&A person? Thanks

Mikal,

Haven't heard a peep from you in almost 2 weeks now. What is the status of the game? what is going on with orders? what is going on with the pre-release? what is going on with anything? could you help us out and get back to us on some things?

Well......I guess I can speak for a large number when I talk about losing very much interest in this product. Nothing new comes out, no information is given, no updates on anything, no help, no care. THis is poor game management no matter what the situation. You have customers sitting and waiting, and you leave them in the dark for weeks on end. As I recall this game was due out a long while back, so now that it's long overdue and noone is talking, who can really sit around and still be interested. You're losing potential customers by the day, including me. Hope you all can finally get back to the public, the people who will make this game a real success.

Jestuv and Mikal........what is the deal with the game? There is no word there is no product? Bruce Davis over at ATCSim2 just put out 2 new screen shots of his work in progress, why are we not seeing anything from you? Is this game even going to come out this year?

I've not answered because you were addresing mikal in your previous posts. Did you try to reach Michael using his cell? I've not heard from him in more than two weeks, either he's still busy with the contract -OR- he choose to go wih a distributor other than simradar.

No, I am not going to personally phone this guy. I dont know him, and dont see the need to talk to him on his cell phone. This guy should be using the resources provided to him through the website, using the forum as a discussion point between customer and developer among other things. What do you mean "other distributor"? What happen to the whole contract thing? Didn't you pre-contract with this guy to offer him webspace and distribution rights? This whole game/situation/legal/whatever else you wanna call it is getting fishier by the day. This is the worst game production process I have ever seen.
