We're not AT ALL certain what, if anything, you got from an E-Bay
seller. On rare occasions the product descriptions there aren't
accurate. Remember that the relationship between the descriptions there
and the product they do (or don't) ship are solely the responsibility
of the dealer.
However, the retail packages of earlier versions of Microsoft Flight
Simulator contained CDs (the DOS versions contained floppy disks). There
MAY be a few OEM copies on other media, but the full retail copies of
the earlier versions of the simulator weren't on DVDs.
The Big yellow "X" on the package should be a clue though. There's
probably a 2007 copyright date on there somewhere too.
