As you correctly say, learning how to use the Navaids, instruments and Radio's really does open up a new experience with the Sim, and suddenly the limited graphics of it don't matter so much now. The next Logical progression for someone who is getting to understand VOR/NDB Navigation is to try flying a SID and STAR to an approach using charts. I have set up a web page aimed at newbie's, and esp. for people who are getting to grips with Navigation. It covers how to use the Radio's and instruments to fly a fairly simple SID and STAR, plus a slightly more complicated DME ARC. http://www.pilotslounge.co.uk/Sample_Flight/egkkegph.htm There is a lot of text on the page, so if you do try it out, you might want to pause the flight from time to time, just so that you can make sure you fully understand what is supposed to happen next. I intend to add a few pictures when I have time to make things that bit clearer. The trip should take around an hour from brakes off to brakes on, but if you or any others here do try it out, please let me know if the page was of any help, or if there is anything that you feel needs further instruction etc. Well done again Martin, glad some of the pieces are beginning to fall into place now ;-) Rgds, Chris J
