For those of you who never heard of it (PIC767) it is, without a doubt the most realistic, engaging, entertaining and magnificent panel add-on for Flight Simulator of all time. PIC767 pilots are the Elite of the flight simulation community, be prepared to spend 5-6 months reading REAL material before considering yourself good at it, of better yet, if you have 757/767 type rating you'll feel right at home.

if INS alignment, available Duct valve pressure to start an engine, FMC programming, Complete overhead panel, Aux Panels, Thottles quadrants and REAL procedures is what you are after, then PIC767 is right for you. This site is NOT affiliated in any way with its procuders, we don't even sell the product, in fact it doesn't even work in fs2004.. but it gives you a general idea of the product we are talking here. Did I mention it is the most bug free software I ever had? it is a masterpiece.

Version 2 of the software is in the works, so it might be that for those of you who never tried it you'll have a chance in Flight Simulator 2004. If you thought PSS, Dreamfleet, Captain's Sim were good add-on developers wait till you experience Flight Simulator truly as real as it gets with PIC v2. It is worth every minute you invest in learning it. My advise:

Install FS2002, Buy PIC767 for FS2002 and Ask Tero. You can watch tero's wonderfull pictorials in the galleries section of our site.

I couldn't have said it better myself!

PIC767 is exactly that.

Long live the king, may we get the new V2 before Christmas!

Before Christmas? ;) I don't think so... Wade was not 100% clear on release dates, in fact it seemed as if it was a 2004 release.

I'll let you in on a little inside information ;).

I got some information from Wade before the announcement of PICv2, and the message was that they would aim for a late fall release...

Hi there,

I've been kind of busy during the weekend, that's why I haven't replied yet.

However, there's not much to reply. Wade's thoughts late summer were, that it should be available late this year, but remember that nothing official has been said about it.

However 2, I'd like to believe that he knows what he's talking about, and we will be seeing PICv2 before the end of this year. If not, it shouldn't be long into 2004 before we'll get it :).

So, let's wait and see. I know I'm drooling my jaw loose, but knowing that it _is_ coming, makes me smile eventually :)

Hi again,

Haven't had much time to do anything around here in a week. I'm having two major exams next week, and am stuck reading...

Will get back to things once they are done :)

I think we all are kind of busy! I just finished the Forum integration with Usenet Newsgroups. You'll notice we feature the major Flightsim Newsgroups in our forums. The ammount and quality of information you'll find there is the best you could find anywhere. just do some searches or read some posts there and you'll see.

I have been busy too, but I believe that things will be better from the beginning of next week and a couple of weeks after thatCrazy

But is there a FOM for a 757 or 767 on the internet somewhere?

By the way guys... do you know what a newsgroup is right? I'm finishing the last details on a new feature here. You'll be able to post to and read from the 5 major flight simulation newsgroups using simradar.com forum interface. cool isn't it? I'm fetching the last 12 months of posts to have a decent forum archive.

Jaltuve,

Yes, I'm not "green" in newsgroups. I participate in them daily... However, I saw that you had some trouble in getting the posts to go in/out of this site, as no one seemed to be replying to any of your queries. That's why I myself put a test message up today to see if it get's "there".

Will have to check later, now I gotta run...

Actually your post made it to the newsgroups... search google groups and you'll see it there :)

Yes, I've been debugging all night, In fact, i just created a new forum and linked it to alt.test.testing, I want to test this even more, altough it seems to be working very good.

Hello there,

I also have "Aviation-itis"; I have been in aviation all my life. I work for British Aerospace as an Aircraft Systems Engineer, however, have always wanted to fly - get my fix from the use of Flight Sim 02/3.

During Uni I built a full sized Flight Deck of the B757-200, which had every detail - from the adjustable seats to the facsimile CRTs - so I know a great deal about the workings.

What is the best 757 package/download, which do you use..??

Matt Miller,

The only package that is anywhere near its real-life counterpart is 767PIC by Wilco Publishing. It's only for FS2002, but there will soon be a PIC version 2, that's for FS2004 as well. PIC767 is _THE_ flightsim addon. It's by far the most complex and sophisticated flightsim addon ever designed, and the beauty of it all is that it ACTUALLY works as published. It's no empty promises and advertisement empty talk, it WORKS!

I'm a long-time PIC user (over 2 years) myself, and it's the only aircraft I every fly these days.

By coincidence, me and two of my buddies are at the moment in the process of constructing a full-sized B757 simulator, ie. a whole cockpit with everything working, ala deltaflight. We will have real full flight simulator mirror-optical visuals in it, donated by Finnair, and everything else one might think of. Could you please shed some light to your own project. I would very much like to see pictures of it, possible ??

The BEST FDE for the 757 is one made by myself and Sebastian Hyvönen. It integrates with PIC767 panel seamlessly. As you know, 767 and 757 have same typerating, and the cockpits are 95% identical, so PIC767 is good for 757 flying as well.

For more information, and for the 757 FDE download link, please contact me privately at: teropa@paju.oulu.fi

cheers
Tero

Thanks for the info...

I have been flying the BMI B737 for ages and was unaware of this amazingly realistic 75/76!! Wow, its good!! I worked in flight operations before venturing on into the engineering world - so was able to gain contacts, gaining copies of all flight paper work, especially plogs and STARS and STDs - which have proved useful! My wife (thank goodness) understands Unsure

I will asap send you some copies of the 757-200 flight deck we build. Its main function was for MMI (Man Machine Interface) feasibility studies. Therefore, has the correct size and shape. It's even had an mirror on the door and EC System, for very hot summers! Blush

Is anyone running a virtual airline...that would be good! Cool

Matt,

Please do send info/photos about your sim to my email! I'm very interested.

Yeah, PIC is the way to go... there are a lot of VAs in the internet, I myself fly for Virtual Finnair, and B757 of course, how else :D

Hmm... what about uploading pictures of your cockpit project to our gallery? that would be great!!! Tero, a Cockpit Builder Image Gallery... sounds like a good idea to me for a new category.

Year why not! Unfortunately, it will have to wait till Monday, I will have to retrieve them from my home PC. This site is great….

The beauty of this virtual “MS Flight Simulation” package is that it encompasses all the main skills a pilot requires, enhancing visual and audio channels. I know many pilots that use this tool to keep “current” or for training purposes when converting to another “type-rating”.

Where are you guys flying next….?? Sly
