Hi! Today Sebastian and I completed our updates to the 757 flight model, and after some heavy duty testing we feel that the new version 2.0 is ready to fly ! The improvements in the new version are as follows (from the readme.txt inside the package): - Enhanced pitch properties. Pitch is now more stable and calm, and not so sensitive. The normal trimming range for normal loading (ie. COG position) is around 4-5 units NOSE UP for takeoff. The new pitch properties can also be seen in a smoother rotation, which, by using correct amount of the stabilizer trim (4-5) will result in a smooth V2+15 profile. - Enhanced roll properties. The roll-rate was excessive during large aileron inputs. This behaviour is now corrected, and a lot more consistent. - Corrected oscillation during ILS approach. The glideslope oscillation is now entirely gone, and the aircraft will fly rock stable ILS during even the worst of conditions. The autoland is now also a lot smoother. - With the new pitch properties, crosswind landings are a lot of fun. You can actually land the aircraft on one of the main gears, and gently feel the other one coming down, with the nose gear following last. No abrupt "collapsing" onto the runway after touchdown anymore. The package is available AT ONCE! NOTE! all older v1.0 version users! The new v2.0 package is available in the EXACT same location, with the EXACT same package name. So, if you still have my email saved somewhere, you can use the same address to pick up the new FDE. IF, for some reason, you desire to also download the OLDER v1.0 FDE, it is available in the same URL except for the package name which has _100 added into the name (ie. B752_PW2037_100.zip) Those of you who don't have the older version request email saved, and all the new users, please email one of the following addresses to get a download URL for the FDE package: Sebastian Hyvönen nshyvone@niksula.hut.fi Tero Partanen teropa@paju.oulu.fi We hope you enjoy the new FDE even more !! cheers, Tero & Sebastian
