Hi Guys,

Some days agoo someone explained what a "Redneck" is. Now I would like to
came up with another thing.
I like some of the country music which is around and as a German I donīt
know what a "Honky Tonk" is.
This words are used in a very broad context so I have problems to understand
what it really means.
It would be really nice if someone could explain to me whatīs behind that.

Thanks in advance Wink

Bodo

You would most likely call them beer gardens Smile)))) HOWEVER, BIG difference
between German beer gardens and a Honky Tonk. Honkey Tonk is a place with
loud country music, lots of beer, whiskey and other adult beverages being
consumed at a rapid rate, hang out for Rednecks. Especially noted for the
huge size and short tempers of the bouncers (uhhhm, they are there to remove
those who, shall we say, get somewhat out of hand). Smile))))))))

I frequently play the tune 'Honky Tonk' to open up a Country Music
gathering.
It's a chug along bluesy number comprises of the three basic chords with
several blues runs (featuring the 7th note)

'bye now all until Dec

Hey, even me & Varmit did some Honky Tonk.. Of course my finger tips being
~25 years out of shape only lasted about 90 seconds.

Hi Bodo,

Your best sources, in the whole world, re Rednecks, and therefore Honky
Tonk... , are Manhattan Man and Dallas - if you're lucky, they will take the
time to email you a few things, if you make your email address readily
available to them.

Absolutely Ferking hilarious, mate!!!!!! Smile)))))
