OT: I am back home Not logged in -   Reply

Had successful surgery on Friday, everything went as planned except I woke
up a lot earlier than they wanted........ Actually before I even got to ICU.
I left ICU the following morning to my own room and after lots of walking
and working on breathing, was released yesterday (Tuesday). Of course, I am
very weak and won't be able to do a lot of walking or exercising for awhile,
but all in all everything is much better than the alternative.......Smile.
Thanks for all the kind words and positive reinforcement. Every little bit
helped a ton. Lots of thanks to those who have had bypass surgery before
too, all your suggestions were right on the money and definately were a big
help in my very early release.

years oldand have been doing great ever since. be sure to keep up on the
rehab program and watch the diet. I am not a fanatic on either, but have not
had a heart problem since. btw, don;'t ask me about my blood sugar....Smile

I'm glad all went well and you are already back on your feet. I'm
sure you'll find in short order you have much more energy and your
get-up-and-go will have returned.

You also have an advantage of not only a good hobby of flight simming
to keep you busy but we're such a great group to talk to<Smile)

Keep up the good work.

Now I went and overate yesterday.......... A fat belly under this mangled
ribcage is NOT a good thing........ahhhhhh...........but the food
was........Smile Back to the nurses for you Dudley...Smile. There was this one
supervising nurse that was probably in the 35-40yr old area (didn't ask for
obvious reasons).. She was very nice and much more interesting than the
younger gals to talk to. The most surprising thing was that she was in
incredibly great shape.......Not just for her age, but for any age. I
explicitly thought about you when I met that one Dudley.......Smile.

Nope, had one here as well, 21 lb Turkey, plus a Heavenly Ham as well,
yummm. But I was so miserable last night, swore I would never eat again -
well, for a few hours at least Smile.

I am starting to feel my age though, I was way more tired after all that

that just had their broken jaw wired shut?

On second thought - you'd pull up a chair, say "hey, aren't you going to eat
