Right!

I am a very keen angler (match fisherman) and used to spend many hours
on my local river. If it rained heavily for a couple of days, and the
river rose a few feet, you could forget about catching fish until the
river levels receded.

What you would 'catch' however, (snagged on your line) is all sorts of
effluent, such as toilet tissue, condoms and other nasties. This happens
on a regular basis, three of four times a year, so you can see I have no
faith whatsoever, in sewage plants removing pollutants, and other
'nasties' from the water before dumping it back into the rivers.

Needless to say, I don't now fish the river when levels are high. Smile

The difference between flight attendants and jet engines, is that the
engine usually quits whining when it gets to the gate!
