Hi Marcel, "... What a bunch of spineless pricks! "Aussie Park Boyz" for real I guess, eh?...". Geezes, now I feel lie a real wimp, mate! The problem is that these blokes almost always carry weapons these days. There was a bloke just walking to work down in Melbourne, who went to the aid of a woman being attacked, and he was shot dead. There have been CCTV footages replayed on the news, mainly from Melbourne and Sydney, but other parts of the country too, which show large gangs beating the living daylights out of a person on his own at railway stations, and, get this, some of those footages have included girls in the gangs, just watching, and presumably enjoying, the proceedings!!! There have been very rare instances of drive-by shootings, down in Sydney. There have been numerous reports regarding knifings, mainly around nightclubs, or taxi ranks... Most upstanding citizens don't have the luxury of a baseball bat when they most want one, mate!! I wouldn't say by any means that these things are at all pervasive, yet, in Aus', but the signs are there, and the whole thing is completely contrary to the way I was raised, and my previous experiences here in Aus', in my 56 years so far, having travelled around most of it, for many years, when I was doing my Industrial Relations/Human Resources work...... A lot of the stuff is directly attributable to Asians, and a few other cultures, and I say that because they are the ones who have been charged (so its not just idle, ill-informed, speculation on my part). And, as you and I have noted, these bastards are breeding - hang on to your hats, folks! ) The good news ? As these various problems are increasingly being acknowledged, policing, security, and other relevant, staffing/resourcing levels, are gradually being addressed and receiving more funding. In Aus', this is happening in tandem with an ageing population trend, so that is somewhat comforting, I guess.
