Bob,

I'm glad I caught this thread... Thank you very much for the "extra needed"
information about the FS2002 Flight Planner... Now I can sort of add the
SID and STAR using your method... ;)) So what's adding a few extra steps,
programming an FMC takes longer.

Thanks again Bob your info is spot on.

Have it in GPS Mode (NOT NAV!!!)for a start. Select which runway you want to land on, select the `activate vectors to final` under `APP` on the GPS and click ENTER.

disengage the heading, but choose a altitude and maintain that via autopilot. Select APPROACH on the dashboard. Now your plane will fly itself to align with your chosen runway. it is up to you to work with altitude.

further notice: If you fail to land and keep the autopilot engaged then the aircraft will fly an automatic holding pattern until you intervene.
