John,
If you let me know which VOR you are referring to and where you are tracking
in relation to your selected waypoint, I'll try and help you. You might also
let me know if you are tracking magnetic on both VOR and GPS, because the
VOR is magnetic, where GPS is usually True, unless you have the capability
to select Magnetic on your set. You may have a very fine difference in your
radial selection on the HSI, which could cause the CDI to deviate slightly.
However, if you are using the same reference (VOR/waypoint) and have the
exact Lat. Lon. in the GPS as the co-location of the VOR site, then the CDI
whether selected for GPS or VOR should be the same. Does that help, or is it
