Hi Dave, As in Bill's case I'm happy to send my source code to someone that is competent and knows how to build aircraft. Many interesting and improved versions of my planes have resulted from that. However, if everyone had the ability to hack the MDL files, the problem for me is support - the new "authors" (hackers) would often leave MY email address in their text files (and often does not add theirs), and thus I get a flood of "Help!" emails from people who have downloaded a plane with problems generated by someone else! (currently this often happens with repainters, so I'm sure it would happen with hackers too) While I try my best to help them with simple problems, I do not have the time to try to track down and solve complicated problems generated by someone else I don't even know! Thus, I'm grateful that the MDL file is currently a closed book. :) Hope this helps!
