It helps if you have an idea of the size of screen resolutions that people are going to be using when viewing your thumbnails page. I *guess* that most ppl use a resolution of 1024 x 768 Pixels. I then go on the theory that it make sense to fill the width of the screen, but don't go over it so ppl don't have to scroll horizontally. So I divide that width by three, and subtract a bit. I let the programme I use to keep the perspective of the images, so by choosing 300 as the width, it makes them 225 high. This lets me have three neat columns that will almost fill the screen if ppl are using 1024 x 768 as their resolution. If I wanted 4 columns, I would reduce the width of each Thumb to around 225. It also depends on the screen resolution you are using in FS, and thus the resolution of your original images. If you are using 1024 x 768 in the game, and your images come out at that size, you will find that if you follow Bill's advice and reduce them to 256x148 you will find that the images are "squashed" and aircraft in them will look funny. ( Sorry Bill ) The correct size when reducing an image of width 1024 to 256 is 256 x 192 to keep the same perspective. Last thing to bear in mind. FS screen grabs often have a lot of nothing happening in a lot of the image, and reducing to too small a thumb means that ppl wont really be able to see much by looking at the thumb. That is why I try not to make mine too small, and instead use careful compression ( most of the time ) to keep the thumbs that bit larger, whilst the file sizes are that bit smaller so they don't take too long to download for ppl on Slowdem's. Phew, that's a lot of words to explain what is basically a simple thing. Second thing Marcel, those images on my page are clickable, and will display the full size image. One was not linked earlier, and it may well be you tried that one and that one only. You had a 20 to 1 chance of hitting it, but with your recent luck, that might just have happened ;-)) Gimme a shout if you need any help with Irfanview. Rgds, Chris J
