Round Robin Problem Not logged in -   Reply

Situation: Using Tim Metzingers tutorial for the PMDG 737NG, and the
flights involve taking off and returning to KTNT, runway 9. I load
the flight in the flight planners (high alt. airways or VOR-VOR) and
program the flight in the FMC. After takeoff I tune Miami approach
and am immediately given vectors to land.

Now I have this hour-long flight planned up the coast, across to Ft.
Myers and back home, and ATC doesn't recognize the plan. In the
tutorial, he has the following dialogue with clearance:

Us: Miami Clearance, PMDG 737, IFR from Dade Collier round robin to
Dade Collier, ready to copy.

ATC: PMDG 737, you are cleared to Dade-Collier. Upon entering
controlled airspace, proceed direct to CURVE for radar identification,
then as filed. Climb and maintain 5000, expect flight level 270 in ten
minutes. Departure Frequency is Miami Center, 132.4.
Squawk 1715.

Whereas, I can only contact clearance and request IFR to Dade Collier
(no "from Dade Collier round robin"), and ATC then clears me to 9000
(or whatever initial altitude) and doesn't mention expected flight
level, entering controlled airspace and proceeding to the intersection
for radar id.

Is this dialogue expected in FS9, and if so what do I need to set up
in order to do a round robin without ATC vectoring me home after a
minute in the air? Do I have to wait until flying to the intersection
before I contact ATC?

No, it's part of the tutorial to provide 'atmosphere'.
