Thanks for all replies. maven > Many simmers are reporting problems with the Mad Catz (Saitek) yoke sending spurious button presses. Some possible fixes are: a. connect the yoke via a powered usb hub. The theory is that the yoke is pulling too much power, dropping voltages which is causing the button presses. b. after system boot, disconnect and then reconnect the yoke from the usb. Not sure what this is supposed to do, but some say it works. c. use the payware version of fsuipc, which Dowson has recently modded to provide an option to ignore button presses lasting less than 50 millisecs. Note that Mad Catz says that they have a firmware fix which is supposed to cure this, but it isn't clear when the fixed yokes will be out, except they were shipped to the US first. If the pilot shop just got it in, then I think you probably are getting the upgrade version. scott s. .
