What's a good frame rate...... Not logged in -   Reply

Can someone tell me what a good frame rate is for my system?
Its's a P4 w/512 RAM and a NVIDIA TNT2 video card. This kinda coincides with another post I put up earlier:

I hope you all can shed some light on this situation 'cause percussive maintenance is beginning to sound real good 'bout now. Here's the problem: When I fly in rainy weather with realism set on maximum and just about everything else in the mid ranges I'm getting around 3.5-4.0 frames per second. Now here's the good news when I change to "clear" weather it goes waaaayyyyyyy up to 5.0-5.0 fps. In idea what the hells wrong with this thing, excluding operator stupidity? Let's make one thing clear right now though I am very "computer challenged". Is this normal? The frame rates not the stupidity bit.

Hi !

A P4 with a 64 Mbytes video card ( GeForce 4 Mx440 ) "easily" hits 15 fps with all settings to max.

Change your video card is all I can add ! What is the point of owning a P4 with 512 Mb if you use a older video card !

Good luck !
