I'm wondering about SP2. Among my few peeves with FSX (and all previous
versions) are cloud shadows on the ground and the view inside the clouds.

To state the obvious, clouds should cast shadows on the ground. In
summertime, the mottling of cumulus shadows on the ground is among the most
notable landscape feature. Maybe nobody cares about them except me, since I
don't hear much griping from other folks. Just wondered if "they" ever got
around to doing that. (What brings that up? The nice light beams I see
filtering through the clouds through my office window this moment reminded
me they were working hard on crespuscular rays for SP2-Vista. Wondering how
on this planet something like that gets on the list ahead of simple cloud
shadows on the ground.)

The other thing I never liked was not ever being inside a cloud in FS. They
fill the windscreen as you fly up to one, but dissipate as soon as you
pierce through its thin veneer of an exterior. The sky is clear once again.
It seemed odd to see through the overcast by flying into the cloud. IMC has
very little meaning in FS because of this.

I believe that this was included in FSX, then removed due to the processing
strain it created.
Pan lights that light up the plane and ai would be nice too!!

Agreed. That would be nice...

Ionly see that if my 3D cloud % is turned down too low. Otherwise I can
fly into clouds and be in there for days..
